How Did This Happen?

Rick wants his story to be heard. He wants everyone to hear the truth. 

Not only about the inconsistencies and lack of evidence in his case that led to his wrongful conviction, but to bring light to the flaws in our justice system and hopefully one day prevent other innocent men and women from such atrosities and similar fate.  

 Rick is an example of encouragement to others to never give up and most certaintly, NEVER lose faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. 

In 2007, with all of his appeals and post-conviction petitions denied, Rick had no choice but to await his turn for the state of Missouri to assign his lethal injection date. Even during darkest dispair and limited resources, Rick's faith and perseverance uncovered a way to ampify his voice and share his story. 

The Justice Denied, a magazine for the wrongfully convicted, printed his four-page article, helping him share the truth and expose how the justice system unfortunately failed him (among others).
